Ok so today is officially the 2 week mark of me being here. Settling in well, getting to know a couple people... have a part-time job in the English room on-campus. I've also been sick the past two weeks. With swollen glands/tonsilitis. Yay me. So my ears have been a little blocked from that so listening to Japanese hasn't been so good... but then I think my listening isn't great anyway. Writing is fine, it's all good. And yes, it's very much so a handy thing to know your katakana (when you're vegetarian, you want to know what's in your food).
Figured out kimuchi tastes good... but man, the next day =S (kimuchi is chilli/pickled cabbage). Okonomiyaki tastes great... same with ramen... only just starting to find things I can eat at the supermarket (mmm deep fried tofu). Shopping is effing awesome. Love it.
Other then that, I should go get dressed for work. Oh yeah, had a "weird run-in" with some chicks the other night. Jess and I were in the kitchen eating dinner, and they walked in with stuff in their hands (obviously to cook something, it's a communal kitchen). And at the door, they saw us. They stopped. Looked at each other. Looked at us. Started laughing. We're like wtf mate? They stood there looking at us for 30 seconds just laughing at us, before backing slowly out the door... I sooo don't get it.
Oh yeah, and talk about major fat two-weeks =S They're all so damn skinny and I'm so damn not... This is going to have to change. Hmph...
Manga is so cheap
*skips off singing*
